Day 46..... yes an odd place to start

The story so far:-

A wonderful friend of mine has a few beautiful aquariums around her house. Mmmmm ok, lets get real here, last count it was hurtling towards the teens lol

We went out shopping one day looking at the aquarium places and pet shops etc....

Next thing I know, I’m the proud new Fish Mumma to this handsome fella...

We call him Blue Daddy!!

Yeah I know 🙄 very original, we’ve really had trouble finding good creative names for them lol

He’s really cool, very interactive and is so in love with his bubble nest so so much... he gives me a look every time I go to do water changes that makes me feel so bad about messing with his nest even though it’s not on purpose!!!

Next up comes the girls, I’d heard about sorority tanks...... mmmm bit of girl power going on here..... and what’s that you say?  Girl fighting fish CAN be kept together?!?!?

Really, no really...... I walk into a pet store, here’s 2 really pretty girls in the SAME tank.... 

Is it really possible??? 

Mmmm ok challenge accepted, the girls came home with me.

Unfortunately it was about an hour before I got home to put them in their tank.

Well, I ended up with 1 really pretty red girl and 1 very beaten up blue girl. 

 

So glad she’s made an awesome recovery 

Ruby Red Mumma!!

Well out pretty blue girl made an awesome recovery within a month and is now in her very own kingdom, she has 2 mystery snails and 3 pretty little tetras for company. She absolutely loves jumping for her dinner, follows your finger all around her tank and is happy to chill out and watch my son play his video games lol

Anyway, I had Blue Boy and Ruby near each other on the cupboard. His bubble nests were next level... I couldn’t believe it.

Ruby was actually trying to jump into his tank on a regular basis, this got me thinking..... they are both beautiful, I wonder what their babies would look like..... the research began.
